The game is said to originate from the 19th century, while some people claim it first appeared in the 15th century when soldiers returned to France from the Franco-Italian War. The game is a comparing card game that only allows two hands regardless of how many players there are. There are only three outcomes to the game, where there is a tie or either the banker or players win. So, how do you play baccarat? Much like in blackjack, it’s your hand versus the banker’s.  Numbered cards are worth their face values, aces are worth one and the jokers are not used. The value of cards is calculated by summing the hand, but only the rightmost number is taken into consideration, which makes the highest value possible a 9. As example 5 + 8 make a 13, but you only get 3 points.
